Innovate UK’s Investor Partnerships programme aims to boost high-potential, growth-focussed SMEs through grant funding opportunities for R&D projects, aligned with investment from Innovate UK’s investor network. The programme exists to fix a fundamental problem for highly innovative, high-potential SMEs in the UK: to access funding to de-risk the development of emerging technologies, and simultaneously to access capital to accelerate business operations towards company growth and scale. Grant funding requests are typically up to a maximum of £2m and aligned equity investment is at least equal to, or double, the grant funding depending on proximity to market.
